Looking for a Decision Support Manager to build a department of resources to produce detailed information reports by gathering and analyzing data. A decision support manager helps departments collect data and create reports that can be used by managers for decision-making.

What is a decision support system?

A decision support system (DSS) is an information system that aids a business in decision-making activities that require judgment, determination, and a sequence of actions. The information system assists the mid- and high-level management of an organization by analyzing huge volumes of unstructured data and accumulating information that can help to solve problems and help in decision-making.

Job Description

  • Provide consultation, support, communication and training to teams and clients on campaign management tools and / or processes
  • Analyze business needs and requirements, defining most efficient system requirements to meet business needs
  • Develop unstructured data into a system of integrated reporting tools to provide management dashboards, data analytics tools and reporting for operations
  • Independently completing analysis of financial data for the purpose of business development, cost and payment analysis
  • Collect, organize and interpret statistical information using specialist tools to help departments and clients use the information to make decisions.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Accounting, Information Science, Computer, Industrial Engineering, Business, Business/Administration
  • 5+ years relevant experience in the same field, preferably in a BPO environment.
  • Understanding of OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) in a multi-dimensional array of data using a computer-based technique to analyze data to look for insights.
  • Must have an understanding in data normalization concepts. Must be able to understand data base schemas and use business intelligence tools to create self-service reporting for management make decisions from.
  • Previous experience in an analytical/reporting role developing financial and operational models
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze data to produce accurate results and tell a story of those results in data visualizations, dashboards, and reports
  • Must be knowledgeable in Power BI, Cognos, Tableau and other forms of business intelligence and performance management software.
  • Experience with SQL or similar relational databases (building and performing queries)
  • Previous experience in project management and/or process improvement (current state analysis) (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Information Technology practices (Preferred)
