{"id":254843,"date":"2024-09-18T23:22:30","date_gmt":"2024-09-18T15:22:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/visayakpo.com\/?post_type=career&#038;p=254843"},"modified":"2024-12-26T17:05:35","modified_gmt":"2024-12-26T09:05:35","slug":"patient-services-representative","status":"publish","type":"career","link":"https:\/\/visayakpo.com\/vkpo-test\/career\/patient-services-representative\/","title":{"rendered":"Self Pay Representative"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"height:17px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This role will involve managing inbound and outbound calls to patients, resolving account balances using medical billing systems and payment portals, and processing payments with attention to detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:17px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Perform inbound and outbound calling to patients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resolve account balances while utilizing various medical billing systems and payment portals; which will include live interactions with patients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform routine tasks such processing payments with care and attention.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create and distribute various correspondence such as itemized statements, insurance appeal letters, claim forms and financial assistance applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collect and process upfront deposits or set-up payment arrangements, as required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interact with patients and internal departments to ensure proper account handling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform account maintenance that may require updates to patient records such as updating account balances, uploading correspondence, printing statements and creating payment plans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adhere to department policies and procedures related to verification of eligibility, benefits, pre-authorization requirements, available payment options, financial counseling and other identified financial clearance related duties<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet or exceed performance objectives including collection and quality assurance goals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements &amp; Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At least 2 years College Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 year of experience in a customer service role.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 year of healthcare experience, preferred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with a customer and simplifying complex billing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated ability to meet performance objectives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain HIPAA compliance Amount of travel required: None<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This role will involve managing inbound and outbound calls to patients, resolving account balances using medical billing systems and payment portals, and processing payments with attention to detail.
