TAGUIG CITY, Philippines — October 21, 2025.

The Hymns of HIMS 2025 competition concluded its debut run during the HIMSCON Fellowship Night held at Shangri-La The Fort, Bonifacio Global City, where Reginald Ivan Tayko of VISAYA was named the first-ever champion. HIMSCON is the annual flagship event of the Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP).

Tayko, who hails from Dumaguete City, represented VISAYA after being chosen through an internal selection among 16 hopefuls across the company’s Ortigas, Bacolod, and Dumaguete sites. During the Hymns of HIMS finals, he outclassed 12 competitors from various HIMAP-member companies with a total average score of 98.5%.

The inaugural event, organized as part of the annual HIMSCON 2025, gathered professionals and member companies from across the Philippines to celebrate creativity, collaboration, and the growing community within the Healthcare Information Management Services (HIMS) industry.

Serving as members of the judging panel were Apple Manansala, Moira Lacambra, and Lance Raymundo, who evaluated participants based on vocal quality, stage presence, and overall performance.

Following Tayko in the winners’ circle were Cherry Anne Tan of Datamatics as 1st Runner-Up with an average score of 95.8%, and Liezl Jane Trinidad of Worldsource as 2nd Runner-Up with 95.5%, Vienna Dawn Jimenez of Cognizant as 3rd Runner-Up with 91.83%, and Angelzon Sabiduria of Viventis as 4th Runner-Up with 89.5%.

The Hymns of HIMS competition aimed to showcase the artistic side of professionals within the HIMS sector—demonstrating that excellence in the industry extends beyond operations and analytics to include creativity and cultural expression.

Tayko’s victory sets a benchmark for future editions of the competition, marking a memorable start for the annual celebration of talent within the healthcare information management community.

Reginald Ivan Tayco sang “Go the Distance” composed by Allen Menken and originally interpreted by Michael Bolton for the animated feature, Hercules.
