Responsibilities:
- Answering inbound phone calls; taking detailed information; and relaying messages to doctors, physicians or medical staff members
- Calls may come from patients or medical facilities
- Route calls to nursing homes or acute care centers while passing on accurate call details and notes
- Answer caller’s questions ranging from asking about office hours to requesting copies of medical records
- Schedule or cancel appointments
- Refer caller to emergency numbers if necessary
- Although rare, Operators may receive hostile calls, and will need to de-escalate or manage in accordance to protocol
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of BPO experience handling healthcare account.
- Clinical, medical or health work experience is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Customer service knowledge.
- Basic understanding of the US healthcare system.
- Understands some basic medical language
- Detail oriented.
- Must be willing to work onsite.
