Julian Valenzuela Re-elected to HIMAP Board of Trustees; Gets Fresh 2-year Term

December 11, 2024 – In an exciting development for the local healthcare information management industry, Julian Valenzuela, the incoming Chief Executive Officer of VISAYA, has been reelected to the Board of Trustees for the Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP). The election results were released during the HIMAP Q4 General Membership Meeting (GMM) andYear-End Party 2024 at the Gallardo Room of Makati Diamond Residences.

Four seats were up for grabs in this year’s elections from a field of seven nominees. Alongside Valenzuela, other elected members of the Board of Trustees are JL Botor of Worldsource, Atty. Darwin Mariano of Optum Global Solutions Philippines, and Anthony Catajan of ADEC Innovations Healthcare.Representatives of all HIMAP-member companies were eligible to vote.

As a Board Trustee, Valenzuela is expected to continue to head the HIMAP Marketing and Branding Council to significantly advocate HIMAP’s mission of advancing the industry through innovation, collaboration, and advocacy. He also led the team who organized HIMSCON 2024 last October which was the biggest gathering of healthcare information management (HIM) professionals in the Philippines.

With this fresh mandate, Valenzuela will work alongside other esteemed Board members to steer HIMAP’s initiatives and programs, ensuring that the association continues to support the growth and development of the healthcare information management industry across the Philippines.
