In this role you will:
- Recognize and perform general bookkeeping procedures using QuickBooks, create journal entries, have strong knowledge of year end procedures and trail balance.
- Prepare balance sheets and income statements.
- File quarterly sales and use tax returns and process monthly sales tax payments for various clients.
- Process payroll for clients, file payroll reports with federal and state jurisdictions.
- Work on reconciliation of bank statements and merchant account statements.
- Develop relationships with clients and provide excelled customer service.
Applicants must possess the following:
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting preferred
- Three (3) to five (5) years of accounting firm or related experience. Payroll experience a plus.
- Understanding of accrual and cash basis of accounting.
- Proficient in use of computers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Proficient in Quickbooks. Pro-Advisor certification a strong plus.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Team-oriented mindset providing customers with high quality work and excellent customer service.
- Flexibility and willingness to work hard.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be willing to work on a hybrid set-up.
